SpaceX investor Ross Gerber, CEO of Gerber Kawasaki, said he is “disgusted” by the recent events surrounding the slowdown of Starlink services in Ukraine, which impacted the country’s military capabilities.

“As a SpaceX shareholder I am disgusted,” Gerber said Wednesday during an appearance on CNN. “I think that these decisions were strategically horrendous and from a humanity perspective, just horrible.”

“Starlink is not reliable for national security for anybody but Trump,” he added.

Following the incident, Musk claimed in a post on social platform X that only President Trump had the ability to order the slowdown, adding that while Starlink is under Musk’s SpaceX, Starshield is owned and operated by the U.S. government.

The Wall Street Journal later reported that Musk ordered the slowdown, citing U.S. officials and people familiar with the matter, prompting calls for an investigation from several Democrats.

Gerber also told CNN on Wednesday that he is “disgusted with Elon Musk.”

“Now they have given everybody a reason not to use Starlink,” the investor continued.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the slowdown a “big mistake,” while top Trump administration officials, such as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, pointed fingers at Musk.

Hegseth told reporters Tuesday that Starlink’s slowdown had nothing to do with the White House.

“There are terms of services that ultimately need to be complied to, and that’s where Starlink has the option to make those decisions,” Hegseth said.

The slowdown came after Zelensky lashed out at Trump for waiving sanctions on Russia and making a diesel deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Zelensky on Tuesday said he discussed with Rubio about the Starshield situation and called the conversation “constructive” in a post on X .
