Apple says it will have “limited” iPhone Duo models for sale in stores, according to a report from Reuters. The iPhone Duo launches on Friday, October 23rd, but online preorders quickly sold out, with some delivery estimates extending into next year. “On Friday morning, our teams look forward to welcoming customers at Apple Stores to experience iPhone Duo and the incredible iPhone line-up for themselves,” Apple said in a statement to Reuters. “Apple Stores will have limited iPhone Duo available for walk-in customers, and we’re working hard to get this revolutionary new product into customers’ hands as quickly as possible.” The iPhone Duo will be available with “limited” walk-in availability in the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico, and most of the UK and Europe, according to Reuters. Customers in these countries will also be able to pick up their online orders in store. Meanwhile, customers in mainland China, France, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates will only be able to pick up their online iPhone Duo orders in stores. Apple didn’t immediately respond to The Verge’s request for comment. The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable, offering a 5.4-inch outer display and 7.6-inch inner screen. It starts at $1,999, and recent reports have suggested that the company might not have enough to make available in stores on a walk-in basis due to supply constraints. Update, October 21st: Added Apple’s statement to Reuters.
