From school expulsion to free gurukul: A UP man’s journey of change on KBC
Uddeshya Sachan's journey from being expelled from school to establishing a free learning space for 400 underprivileged children highlights resilience and the spirit of social change, featured on KBC 18.
Uddeshya Sachan, a KBC 18 contestant from Uttar Pradesh, shares on the show how childhood experiences of financial crisis and school expulsion shaped his decision to build a learning space that now educates around 400 students without charging fees. Recounting the severe financial crisis his family faced, which required him to work multiple jobs to fund his own education, Uddeshya opens up about the pivotal moment that changed his life's purpose by saying, "Sir, mere pitaji tailor the aur mummy ko ek baar current lag gaya tha toh bimaar thi. Ghar ki sthiti bahut kharab thi, rishtedaar thodi madad kar rahe the. Humare paas school ki fees dene ke liye paise nahi the, toh mujhe aur mere bhai ko nikal diya. Pitaji ki sthiti aisi nahi thi lekin unhone bahut sangharsh kiya, chaar hazaar ya paanch hazaar mein ghar chal raha tha. Dheere dheere kaise toh padhai poori hui. Ek moment mein aisa feel hua ki main akela nahi hoon, mere jaise aur bhi bachche honge. Maine joh mehsoos kiya, aur bhi bachchon ne mehsoos kiya hoga. Phir socha, maine idhar janam liya hai, toh jab main marunga mujhe kuch achha karke marna hain aur society mein kuch change lana hain."Deeply moved by Uddeshya’s grit, host Amitabh Bachchan praises his noble initiative and the immense satisfaction that comes from achieving such a meaningful goal by saying, "Uddeshyaji, main samajhta hoon aapne kaafi sangharsh kiya, lekin sangharsh karke jab aap jeevan mein uthte hain, aap bohot kuch seekhte hain. Ek aapka uddeshya hai ki humein jivan mein kahi toh pahunchna hain, aur usse poora karne ke baad joh santusti milti hain, uske liye aapko bahut bahut badhai."When asked how he manages the resources for 400 students, Uddeshya reveals that his mother initially supported him financially, and he slowly began sharing videos of his school on social media one of which was even amplified by actor R Madhavan. Hearing this, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan makes a heartwarming promise on national television to personally support Uddeshya's cause by saying, "Uddeshyaji, aapka joh social media hain aur usko joh sambhalte hain, unko bolna humein bhi bhejna. Aur humare paas bhi ek kuch log hain joh social media pe aate hain, toh unko hum bhej denge aur phir aapko patra likhenge ki humne aapka kaam kar diya hain."Get the latest TV News, TV Shows and more.
