Jets player carted off against Giants, Chip Trayanum has scary scene
A scary scene has unfolded with Jets' Chip Trayanum but there have been positive updates.
A scary scene unfolded for New York Jets running back Chip Trayanum just as halftime hit during the team's preseason finale against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Friday.
Trayanum was carted off the field after the final play of the first half and quickly was taken to the hospital. The team announced he sustained a neck injury in an update.
Thankfully there is good news, Trayanum was alert and moving his extremities:
Trayanum was having himself a positive effort in the first half as well. The UDFA rookie running back led the Jets with 38 rushing yards and a touchdown in the game.
Trayanum's teammates surrounded him and waited for him to depart the field safety before the end of the half.
