Meghan Markle 's latest TV role has officially been revealed.

The Duchess of Sussex, 45, is set to appear on Junior MasterChef Australia , PEOPLE can confirm.

While reports have suggested that Meghan will host the upcoming season of the reality cooking series, PEOPLE has learned that the Duchess of Sussex will appear as a special guest.

PEOPLE also understands that Meghan will be in Australia for just a few weeks and that she and her family , including her husband Prince Harry and their kids, Prince Archie , 7, and Princess Lilibet , 5, are not relocating there.

Producers confirmed that the series will see host Poh Ling Yeow joined by the Duchess of Sussex, as they "help guide the next generation of young culinary talent," according to a press release.

"I had an incredible time with the whole team at MasterChef this past April, so when they approached me to come back and work with this young group of talent, it was an easy yes," Meghan shared in the press release. "I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait to see what they cook up!"

"I'm thrilled to bits that Junior MasterChef is returning to our screens," Yeow added. "People often ask me whether it might come back, so I know the news will be met with plenty of excitement."

"I had a lovely time filming with Meghan earlier this year, and being reunited will be a real treat," Yeow continued. "I can't wait to meet our pint-sized culinary adventurers - I'm expecting plenty of delicious surprises and a little mischief, too."

Meghan previously appeared on MasterChef Australia when she visited the country earlier this year. In April, she was featured as a guest judge on the beloved cooking show, mentoring some of the series' cooks alongside judges Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli.

Yeow later told 10 News about what it was like to welcome Meghan to the set, which was a surprise for contestants.

"The reaction from the contestants was exactly what we wanted. They were in total shock, everyone's jaws were on the ground. In their wildest dreams, they would not have expected this, so it was very joyous for us to watch," Yeow said about the Duchess of Sussex's cameo in April.

Meghan has made a number of appearances in cooking shows over the years. Her recipes and kitchen have been heavily featured on her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, and she previously appeared as a guest judge on Food Network's Chopped Junior in 2016.

The Duchess of Sussex is set to begin filming Junior MasterChef in 2027, and the series will air on Australia's Network 10.
