Actor Karan Wahi has opened up about his past relationship with Uditi Singh, who is currently seen on Bigg Boss 20, and revealed that he had entered the relationship with marriage in mind. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his podcast, Karan reflected on what he had hoped for when they began dating and explained why things did not work out between them.Karan said he was at a stage in his life when he wanted a relationship to lead to marriage rather than remain an uncertain commitment. However, he clarified that this did not mean the couple had finalised wedding plans or were on the verge of getting married. He said, “I was 33-34 when I started dating her. So, I was at an age where I was like this time when I get into a relationship, this has to materialise into marriage. Otherwise I don’t want a relationship.”The actor explained that his intention was to build a relationship that could eventually culminate in marriage. However, he clarified that people had interpreted this intention as a sign that the couple were about to get married. Setting the record straight, he said, “There was nothing called as that we were about to get married or we’ve plans of getting married. I think it was the intention to take it to marriage, which I think have been misconstrued as shaadi hone wali thi.”‘We were not compatible enough’: Karan on their separationSpeaking about what went wrong between them, Karan offered his perspective on the breakup and acknowledged that their relationship may not have had the compatibility needed to last. He said, “I think we were not compatible enough. Atleast that’s my truth.”The actor also addressed speculation surrounding the reasons for their separation, dismissing the suggestion that parental interference or objections from their families had led to the breakup.
