TP-Link’s first Wi-Fi 8 router is now available for preorder internationally.
The Wi-Fi 8 standard isn’t expected to be finalized until 2028, but that’s not stopping TP-Link from opening preorders for its previously announced Archer 8 Ultra tri-band router. Pricing ranges from around $907 (€799.90) in Germany to around $1,190 (£899.99) in the UK, but preorder discounts are being offered. As for US availability, the president of TP-Link’s Home Networking Business Unit, Pingji Li, says the company is “working with regulators to bring these products to users worldwide, so keep an eye on our website for more updates.” [Image: https://platform.theverge.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/09/tplink.jpg?quality=90&strip=all]
