Bitcoin ETF inflows hit nearly $731 million, with BlackRock leading demand.

The U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) drew roughly $730.87 million on Sep. 3 as Bitcoin surpassed the $82,000 price level.

The ETF inflows were the largest since Jan. 14, when the funds attracted $843.62 million, according to SoSoValue data. It means yesterday marked the best day of the ETFs in nine months.

Bitcoin has traded between roughly $76,200 and $82,100 in September. It was trading at $79,845.74 at the time of writing.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (Nasdaq: IBIT) led the session with $453.96 million of net inflows, accounting for about 62% of the total money entering U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF yesterday.

ARK Invest and 21Shares' ARKB followed with $137.74 million, while Fidelity's FBTC attracted $74.45 million. Bitwise's BITB added another $24.76 million.

VanEck's HODL and WisdomTree's BTCW moved in the opposite direction, recording outflows of $19.6 million and $5.2 million respectively.

Combined net assets across U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs reached about $103.34 billion after Thursday's session, equal to a little over 6% of Bitcoin's market capitalization.

The flows also reversed a weak start to the week. The funds recorded a $216.7 million inflow on Aug. 31, a $236.5 million outflow on Sep. 1, and a $101.15 million inflow on Sep. 2. The figure sharply escalated yesterday, Sep. 3.

Bitcoin briefly traded around $82,100 to $82,300 during the latest advance before easing back toward $80,000.

That leaves the cryptocurrency close to a level watched closely by CryptoQuant. The analytics firm has placed Bitcoin's 365-day moving average around the $83,000 region, describing it as an important technical threshold.

Trading activity has also increased alongside the move, with 24-hour volume hitting $43 billion.

Still, the ETF figures sit alongside a more cautious signal from the spot market. CryptoQuant has said recent gains were driven partly by short covering rather than an increase in fresh long positions.
