Polymarket named Warren Jenson as its first chief financial officer on Thursday, bringing in a veteran finance executive as the prediction markets company expands its U.S. platform.

Jenson built his early career as finance chief at Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines, and NBC, a run of high-profile roles that stretched across the 1990s and into the early 2000s, according to the Wall Street Journal . He will report to Polymarket founder and CEO Shayne Coplan, the company said.

In the role, Jenson will lead Polymarket's finance organization, set financial and capital strategy, and build infrastructure to support the company's next phase of growth, the company said.

His most recent post was president and CFO of Nielsen, a position he departed in January 2025, according to the Wall Street Journal. Prior to that, he logged more than four years as president and CFO at the data platform LiveRamp, overseeing its finances and heading up its international operations. He also serves on the boards of DigitalOcean, Dropbox, and Ripple, the company said.

"We're assembling the team to match the opportunity in front of us," Coplan said in a statement. "Warren has led finance at some of the most consequential companies in the world, and his experience will be critical to everything we build from here."

"I'm joining Shayne and the leadership team to put the capital strategy and operating discipline in place to move quickly at scale," Jenson said in a statement.

The appointment comes as Polymarket scales its U.S. exchange, which operates as a designated contract market regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Polymarket also added Travis VanderZanden, the founder of a scooter-sharing company, as chief growth officer earlier this year, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Polymarket is valued at around $21 billion after a recent $1 billion fundraise. 1789 Capital — the venture and growth equity firm where Donald Trump Jr. holds a partner role — is putting roughly $300 million into the company. Intercontinental Exchange has also emerged as a major backer, having disclosed a $1.6 billion position in the company earlier this year, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Polymarket and Kalshi have been locked in a battle for dominance in the prediction markets sector, a contest that has grown more crowded as Robinhood and DraftKings have each rolled out their own offerings in the space.
