Meta’s Muse AI assistant can now create personalized hubs called “spaces.”

· 256 words

Meta will now allow you to build customized, app-like experiences within Muse. The new feature, called “spaces,” allows its AI assistant to build things like a shopping hub, school dashboard, music tracker, trivia game, and more, which you can interact with directly in the Muse app. Meta says you can create a new space by describing it. If you connect an outside app to Muse — like Gmail, Google Calendar, OpenTable, Notion, and others Muse works with — the AI assistant will continuously pull information from them, allowing it to update pricing, dates, and other information in your space in the background. You can also interact with elements inside your spaces by checking things off, adding notes, and making edits. [Media: You can also change the placement of your spaces in the Muse app, too, as Meta lets you keep them in the sidebar, move them into your main tab, or schedule when you see them. “For example, keep your weekly planner up front during the workweek, then swap it for your weekend plans on Saturday,” Meta says. Meta also announced that it’s bringing new “Active Memory” and “Active Focus” capabilities from its Muse Wonder AI model into the Muse app and its Meta AI chatbot. This will allow Muse to understand when past information becomes relevant during conversations, as well as make it better at working toward goals. Meta is rolling out spaces to all Muse users. The company is also looking into ways to share your spaces with other users and collaborate with them.
