President Trump said Tuesday that he was banning the term artificial intelligence “in all relevant documents and everything else.”

“In short order, we will be officially BANNING the term, ‘AI/Artificial Intelligence,’ in all relevant documents, and everything else, due to its inaccuracy,” he wrote on Truth Social .

Trump hit on The Wall Street Journal for using the term AI, rather super intelligence (SI), his preferred term.

“When will The Wall Street Journal start calling Artificial Intelligence (AI), a very bad and inaccurate name, SI (Super Intelligence), the name which virtually everyone else is using, or soon will be,” he wrote.

He signed an executive order in September directing the executive branch to use SI, instead of AI.

Trump said in a post earlier this month that the White House “considers anyone that uses the term, ‘Artificial Intelligence,’ as opposed to the highly accepted new and more accurate term, ‘Super Intelligence,’ THE ENEMY!”

At the United Nations General Assembly last month, he told the group that the U.S. would be renaming AI to SI in documents.

“The United States also totally rejects any attempt to construct a globality scheme to control for the artificial intelligence being spoken of so much now, hereinafter called super intelligence. Changing the name,” Trump said.

“The use of the word artificial makes intelligence sound fake,” he continued. “It is not fake. It’s actually amazing. But we have to be careful. In fact, it is exactly the opposite of what it purports.”

Earlier this month, Trump announced the creation of the “Super Intelligence Force” to be led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton .

“The Super Intelligence Force is tasked with coordinating the effort of the Federal Government to ensure that America continues to lead the World in Super Intelligence, which many say is bigger than the Industrial Revolution, and the Internet, and will protect the interests, and improve the lives, of all Americans,” the president wrote on Truth Social .

The group is directed to coordinate with the federal government’s “engagement with Consumers, Public Interest Groups, Religious Organizations, Critical Infrastructure Providers, and Super Intelligence Companies.”
