Trump Praises Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang On 'Incredible Numbers,' Calls Micron One Of The World's 'Hottest' Companies

President Donald Trump on Thursday celebrated wins for the U.S. chip industry, praising Nvidia Corp. 's robust revenue guidance following strong second-quarter results and Micron Technology Inc. 's new $10 billion research investment as proof that his policies are drawing in trillions in domestic investment.

Congratulates Jensen Huang On Nvidia's Numbers

Trump praised Nvidia's results in a post on Truth Social, calling them "incredible numbers," and added, "Congratulations to Jensen Huang… Only in America!"

The company posted second-quarter revenue of $96.22 billion, up 106% from a year earlier, alongside third-quarter guidance of $108 billion, a figure that would represent roughly 1,730% revenue growth over four years, and fiscal 2028 revenue growth guidance of 70%.

Trump Says Micron Is Bringing Critical Technology Back to the US

In a separate post, Trump called Micron one of the "hottest" companies in the world, celebrating its new $10 billion investment in research labs on top of the company's earlier $250 billion commitment to U.S. manufacturing.

"They are keeping us at the absolute forefront of A.I. and Advanced Computing," Trump said, adding that "combined with their previous tremendous 250 billion dollar commitment, they are creating tens of thousands of great American jobs."

Earlier this month, the chipmaker announced the Micron Research Labs, a U.S.-based hub anchored by a flagship campus in Boise, Idaho, focused on advancing memory and AI technologies over the next decade.

"I have made it clear that America will lead the way to a new Golden Age of Science," Trump added.

Tariff Uncertainty Looms Over the Industry

The praise comes as the Trump administration considers new semiconductor tariffs that could extend to laptops, gaming consoles, and data center servers, POLITICO reported on Thursday.

Tech companies have started lobbying against the proposal, warning it could raise costs and slow the AI data center buildout.

Micron is currently the only U.S.-based manufacturer of high-bandwidth memory, a component the administration has framed as central to domestic AI supply chain security.
