CoE in cybersecurity launched at SASTRA University

Trichy: A centre of excellence (CoE) in cybersecurity and digital forensics was launched at Rs 3.5 crore by SASTRA Deemed University and Tata Communications on the university’s Thanjavur campus on Sunday.The research and capacity-building facility will create manpower capable of handling various levels of digital and cyber vulnerabilities. “The transformational role of artificial intelligence (AI) is still in its exploration phase and 80% of the investments made by corporates are yet to see desired returns,” said Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, MD and CEO, Tata Communications Limited, at the Graduation Day ceremony of the university.Prince Jayakumar, EVP and global head of human resources at HCL Technologies, stressed the role of evolutionary talent and the need to engage AI with a humanistic touch.
