There was no shortage of interest in the US Open finals this weekend, namely the men's final.

According to an ESPN press release , "Sunday's US Open men's championship match between Ben Shelton and eventual champion Alexander Zverev attracted an average audience of 3.2 million viewers on ABC, the largest viewership on record since ESPN began televising the tournament in 2009. Viewership peaked at 4.0 million from 5:30-5:45 p.m. ET."

Elena Rybakina's victory over Aryna Sabalenka in the women's final averaged 2.7 million viewers and peaked at 3.2 million viewers. The two finals combined averaged 3.0 million viewers, up nine percent year-over-year.

ESPN also noted it was the most-watched US Open since 2022 and averaged 1.2 million viewers.
