Texas A&M vs LSU game score: Live updates, TV channel for crucial Week 4 SEC matchup

Texas A&M football might already be in must-win mode.

Two losses doesn't eliminate a team from College Football Playoff contention, but with two months of the regular season left, it eliminates much of a program's margin for error. LSU suffered its first loss last week to Ole Miss while Texas A&M fell to Kentucky . That means two teams ranked in the top-10 at one point this season have precarious footing as September ends.

The good news for the Aggies is they have handled LSU well in the recent past. Mike Elko is 2-0 against the Bayou Bengals and A&M has won three of the last four matchups. The bad news is Lane Kiffin wasn't the Tigers' head coach for any of those games, and he's leading LSU now.

Last week, quarterback Marcel Reed was 26 of 49 for 236 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, adding a rushing score. Rueben Owens II rushed for 74 yards on 18 carries and Reed, with 80 yards, was A&M's top rusher. Mario Craver had 11 catches for 119 yards; Reed targeted him 19 times.

The bigger issue last week was that Kentucky quarterback Kenny Minchey was 14 of 18 for 252 yards and two touchdowns against the Aggies at Kyle Field. Former Longhorns CJ Baxter rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt has the mobility to give A&M fits and LSU averages more than 200 rush yards per game.
