Georgia Tech athletic director Ryan Alpert has teased the possibility of a NASA uniform sponsorship patch as the start of Yellow Jackets' football season rapidly approaches on Thursday, Sept. 3.
The university recently announced a partnership with NASA's Office of STEM Engagement "to address a shortage of skilled technicians in the aerospace industry," per CBS News' Nakell Williams, who stated NASA will fund the program with $10.5 million over three years.
Alpert seemed interested in a patch and broached the idea to Georgia Tech baseball coach James Ramsey after the idea was brought up by X user, @ATripADelta12.
It seems momentum is cooking now, so perhaps we'll see something arise soon enough.
