Saturday's action gets underway as Serie A matchday 11 continues (after Udinese's defeat, which also saw Zaniolo lose his cool ), while abroad, negotiations over youngster JJ Gabriel continue to make headlines.
Here is this morning's biggest news from Serie A's top clubs.
According to Tuttosport , Giovanni Carnevali held up a Juventus scarf during the closing minutes of the Bianconeri's match , which the CEO followed with great emotion.
The scarf was a gift from the Board of Directors after a shareholder at the general meeting urged him to pay attention to the symbolic aspects of his new role as well.
Carnevali was particularly pleased with the gift and is now expected to carry the scarf with him as a good-luck charm.
According to Corriere dello Sport , Pavlovic did not train with the rest of the squad, instead following an individual programme because of the shoulder discomfort that had already forced him to miss the Europa League clash with Ferencvaros.
The Serbian defender therefore remains doubtful for the trip to Genoa : he could play through the pain given the importance of the match, but the final training session will determine whether he can be included in the squad.
Inter: The inside story on Bastoni and Barcelona
According to The Athletic , Barcelona considered signing Alessandro Bastoni in the summer, with sporting director Deco keen on the move, although Flick had some reservations.
In the end, the Catalan club chose to focus on their attack: the coaching staff felt it was essential to sign forwards who could also contribute defensively by pressing high up the pitch. Hence their interest in Anthony Gordon.
Barcelona would also reportedly be willing to sell Alejandro Balde as early as January : his contract enters its final year next summer, and there are no reports of renewal talks. A major sale would allow the Blaugrana to fund potential signings in the winter transfer window.
Napoli: De Laurentiis reassures Allegri and the squad
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport , De Laurentiis visited Castel Volturno, where he spent around three hours discussing Napoli's poor run of results with Allegri and Manna.
The president sought to reassure the players before training: "You're good players and good lads too."
There was no ultimatum for Allegri, with De Laurentiis reaffirming his confidence in him : "Stay calm. I'm optimistic, and so are you." The aim is to see a united and determined Napoli as soon as the Lazio game, like the side seen against Roma and Bodo Glimt.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport , Koné's recovery is the main piece of good news for Gasperini ahead of the match against Sassuolo.
Gollini's absence, meanwhile, should see Devis Vasquez make his first Serie A appearance of the season (after his Champions League debut) . He has not played in the league since May 25, 2025, when he featured in Empoli-Verona.
In defence, Ghilardi and Balerdi are still competing for a starting spot , while Molina is expected to return to the starting line-up on the right flank.
Lazio: Talks over a new deal for Dele-Bashiru
According to Corriere dello Sport , Lazio have reportedly made initial contact with Dele-Bashiru's agents to discuss a possible extension to his contract , which currently expires in June 2028.
The Biancocelesti believe in the Nigerian midfielder's potential, and he could also return to the national team : head coach Eric Chelle has included him in his provisional squad.
Fiorentina: Fan display planned for Juventus clash
According to Repubblica Firenze , Fiorentina are looking to return to winning ways at home against Juventus, ending a drought stretching back to April 13 , when the Viola beat Lazio 1-0.
The Franchi will be sold out for the occasion, with around 24,000 spectators and a display in the Curva Fiesole featuring small flags and funded by the fans themselves.
Vanoli is expected to stick with the line-up used in Reggio Emilia , with Oulai and Gonçalves starting on the bench. Atta and Pongracic will be absent, while Ranieri will try to recover in time.
