Indiana football , due in part to its own efforts and those of the other top teams around the sport, moved up in both major polls following Week 2's games.
The Hoosiers sit at No. 4 nationally in both the AP Top-25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll, earning three first place votes in the former. Texas rose to No. 1 with Saturday's thrilling win over Ohio State as the Buckeyes tumbled to No. 6 from their perch atop the rankings.
Elsewhere around the Big Ten, Oregon plummeted 15 spots after losing to Oklahoma State , USC rose to No. 12, Penn State followed at No. 14, Iowa rose to No. 18 and Michigan soared to No. 19.
