Giants' Malik Nabers to have X-rays on shoulder after it popped out during loss to Rams

The Giants dodged one bullet in what was a nightmare Monday Night Football loss.

While they saw numerous stars go down to injuries, WR Malik Nabers was able to overcome one.

Playing in just his second game back from a torn ACL, Nabers was forced to the sidelines in significant pain after his shoulder popped out trying to make a contested catch against Rams CB Trent McDuffie .

The 23-year-old was originally deemed questionable to return, but he revealed postgame that he popped it back so that he could get back out there with the shorthanded offense.

Nabers ended up missing just a handful of plays, and wasn't limited the rest of the way.

"I was out there just trying to come back out," he said. "We had lost Jaxson [ Dart ] and I didn't want to give the team another loss, so I went back and just tried to see what I could do to help."

Nabers wouldn't pull in any of his three targets over the next three quarter, as the offense struggled to get much of anything going with backup Jameis Winston under center.

The star wideout is set to undergo X-rays on Tuesday to see what is going on with his shoulder.

"I ain't gonna make any excuses for what happened in the game," he said. "Yeah I'm battling through injuries, but that doesn't make a difference on how the performance was, just knocking dust off and seeing what I can do on this knee."
