Coastal Carolina Reveals Wild New 90s-Inspired Uniforms in Viral Photos, Hype Video

The bright and oversized graphics and style of the 1990s may be a thing of the past, but Coastal Carolina is turning back the clock for Friday's game against Appalachian State.

Coastal Carolina revealed its '90s-inspired uniforms it will wear against the Mountaineers, and they are sure to turn heads:

The announcement explained the uniforms were "designed to capture the look and feel of an era that helped shape sports, television, fashion and pop culture" and "draw from the colorful, oversized and unmistakably '90s aesthetic seen in iconic television shows such as Saved By The Bell , Boy Meets World , The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air , Friends , and many more."

The Chanticleers will look to build some momentum with this new look.

While they are just 2-3 on the season, they are also coming off a victory on the road against Marshall to improve to 1-1 in Sun Belt play. Friday is an opportunity to win a second straight against a team that will enter trending in the wrong direction.

Appalachian State started the season with three straight wins before losing to NC State and Old Dominion. Now it will have to deal with a Coastal Carolina crowd that could be more raucous than usual during a special theme night.
