Worst fantasy football lineup in Week 3: How many players were on your roster?

Week 3 of the 2026 fantasy football season produced some truly painful performances, and this lineup managed to combine several of the biggest disappointments into one disastrous starting group. According to DraftKings, this "absolute worst fantasy team of the week" among players you would reasonably consider starting scored just 25.6 total points.

Even worse, there are several players on this list who were almost certainly sitting in starting lineups across fantasy leagues this weekend.

At quarterback, Drake Maye led the way with just 6.8 points. The Patriots quarterback threw for 199 yards with two interceptions, lost a fumble, and added 18 rushing yards. It was another frustrating performance from Maye, who struggled to consistently move the New England offense.

The running backs were even more painful.

TreVeyon Henderson managed only 3.9 fantasy points, while De'Von Achane finished with just 1.7 points before suffering a season-ending torn ACL. Achane had only 17 rushing yards in the Dolphins' loss to Kansas City.

At wide receiver, Justin Jefferson scored only 5.2 points, while Tetairoa McMillan managed 3.7. Jefferson's disappointing fantasy outing came despite his prominent role in Minnesota's offense, while McMillan couldn't generate much production for Carolina.

Hunter Henry rounded out the skill-position group with only 1.5 points, while Jalen Coker contributed 3.8 points in the flex.

The kicker and defense made it even worse

The lineup somehow got even more painful from there.

Joey Slye scored just 1.0 fantasy point at kicker, while the Green Bay Packers defense actually finished with -2.0 points .

Put it all together, and the lineup totaled just 25.6 fantasy points .

That's the kind of week where a fantasy manager can look at the box score and wonder how everything went wrong at the same time. The particularly brutal part is that most of these players weren't outrageous starts entering the week. Jefferson, Achane, Henderson, Maye, and Henry were all players fantasy managers could reasonably have put into their lineups.

Achane's situation obviously carries an entirely different context because his season is now over, while Jefferson's status will be closely watched after his ankle injury.
