Thomas Castellanos Commits to Texas Tech After Brendan Sorsby's Exit for 2026 CFB Season

Quarterback Thomas Castellanos committed to Texas Tech for the 2026 college football season on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel .

Castellanos previously suited up for Florida State in 2025.

Texas Tech initially had quarterback Brendan Sorsby on its roster after he won a temporary injunction that allowed him to stay eligible as remained the focus of an NCAA investigation for gambling. Sorsby eventually dropped his lawsuit against the NCAA and became ineligible again, turning his focus instead toward the 2027 NFL draft.
