Ruben Amorim is keen on a reunion with Manchester United defender Leny Yoro at AC Milan.

The Serie A side are weighing up a move for the 20-year-old at the end of the season, according to reports in Italy. Calciomercato claim Yoro is on the wish-list for Milan next summer, as Amorim eyes a raid on his former club.

Yoro signed for Manchester United from Lille in a £52m deal in 2024, beating Real Madrid to his signature. Yoro was viewed as one of the most promising defenders in Europe at that time, but has failed to develop as hoped.

He was used out-of-position at right-back during the recent draw at Leeds United, and has already worked under three different managers. Milan are considering whether a deal can be done, with Amorim earmarking the Frenchman as an option for his back-three system.

Former France midfielder Emmanuel Petit recently questioned whether Yoro is in the right environment to improve.

"He's had spells when he's injured and sometimes he's playing at right-back and sometimes he's playing at centre-back," he said.

"When you look at the lack of stability of the club he's playing for and the lack of confidence around the group, is it Leny Yoro's responsibility to raise his level when you see other players who are also not playing at a high level?

"There are leaders missing at Manchester United. I don't like Bruno Fernandes body language. I've not liked it this season and I didn't like it last season.

"This year's started very slowly for Manchester United and Leny Yoro can't solve all the problems at the club."
