Utah defensive tackle Jamal Wallace has not been with the team because of a suspension following a rape allegation against him.

Wallace was arrested on Oct. 11 on five counts of distribution of an intimate image after a woman he was dating alleged that he had raped her. The school said in a statement Wednesday that it was "made aware of the situation with Jamal Wallace on Oct. 11 and he was immediately placed on indefinite suspension from the program."

Per the probable cause statement obtained by KSL, the woman said that Wallace forced her to perform oral sex after they were discussion their relationship and infidelity. An investigation into the rape accusation is ongoing.

The incident eventually stopped when he "aggressively told her to stand up," before he pushed her down on an ottoman and forced his way into having sex with her, according to the documents. He eventually moved her to the bedroom, where he "pushed her down" again and continued to forcibly have sex with her, while saying "she belonged to him," according to the documents. The woman said she continued to try to "flinch" and "pull away," but he continued to keep her there before he left the room. She said she was "frozen" during the incident and "thought if she just let it happen, it wouldn't last that long."

The woman also said that Wallace filmed the incident with her phone and then sent footage to people on Snapchat. Salt Lake police saw the videos and said the phone had been in his possession at the time.

Distribution of an intimate image is a misdemeanor in Utah for first-time offenders. Repeat offenses are third-degree felonies.

Wallace, a senior, transferred from Tennessee in the offseason and appeared in one game in 2026. He had seven total tackles across nine games in two seasons with the Volunteers. No. 10 Utah, one of four remaining undefeated teams in college football, hosts No. 14 Houston on Saturday night.
