Germany women's national team coach Christian Wück expects to face "one of the absolute best teams in the world" in Tuesday's friendly match against Asian champions Japan.

"The Japanese women are certainly one of the strongest teams on the ball, alongside Spain. They'll really challenge us when we're defending. I'm curious to see how we'll perform on the field," he said in a news conference on Monday.

Four days after their 4-2 victory over Australia, Germany will face a "completely different style of play," the coach said.

His main priority is for his squad to warm up ahead of next year's World Cup in Brazil.

"The level of play there will be entirely different from here in Europe," Wück warned.

It remains unclear whether Ena Mahmutovic will be the starting goalkeeper again. Against Australia, the 22-year-old replaced regular starter Ann-Katrin Berger, who sat out the two matches.

The other goalkeepers in the squad are VfL Wolfsburg's Stina Johannes and Hoffenheim's

"I'd like to leave that question open for now. There will definitely be someone in goal," Wück said with a smile.
