A former member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is eyeing a return to Catalunya's capital in the summer of 2027.
That's according to Diario Sport, who point to João Félix as the player in question.
Frontman Félix for his part spent the duration of the 2023/24 campaign plying his trade in Barcelona colours, on loan from La Liga rivals Atlético Madrid .
The Portuguese showcased flashes of his unquestionable quality over the course of his 12 months in Blaugrana , but, as has proven the case throughout his career, ultimately lacked the consistency required to convince the Camp Nou brass to make his signing permanent.
Félix has since bounced around several clubs, most recently landing in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr in 2025. And his time in the Middle East, to date, has proven a major success.
Félix was named Player of the Year in the SPL last time out, after Al-Nassr finally did enough to secure the league title. He has also reestablished himself as an important figure with the Portuguese national team.
And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then the 26-year-old is evidently keen to make use of this momentum to secure for himself a fresh chance at one of world football's leading clubs.
'Félix is clear that he is going to return to European football. His big dream is to return to Barça on a free transfer. His agent, Jorge Mendes, has already communicated it to the Blaugrana club for next summer.'
It now remains to be seen whether or not the interest of the Spanish champions in a reunion with the gifted but frustrating frontman is mutual…
