Bristol Rovers and Rotherham charged for melee

Bristol Rovers and Rotherham have been charged by the Football Association for an off-pitch melee during the closing stages of Saturday's League Two match.

Millers boss Alex Bruce and Rovers assistant manager Paul Raynor were both shown red cards in the 93rd minute during the incident and have also been charged.

Both teams have been charged with failing to ensure their players did not act in an improper or provocative manner, while Bruce and Raynor allegedly also acted in an improper manner.

Bristol Rovers won the game 1-0 to stay top of the table.

Both sides, along with Bruce and Raynor, have until Monday, 14 September to respond to the charges.
