Nobody knows anything. And it's just so beautiful.

Week 7 provided one of the wildest slates that college football has ever seen. For the first time in history, five teams holding a top-seven ranking in the AP Top 25 lost on the same weekend.

Georgia dropped a shocker to Auburn. Notre Dame fell at BYU. Indiana narrowly lost to Ohio State, Alabama had a miserable day at Tennessee and Texas imploded at home against Florida.

And, boy, if Miami didn't give it a serious try at joining the list, too.

The result of that wonderfully chaotic Saturday of action is a major overhaul of the College Football Playoff picture.

The projected bracket is a reflection of B/R's Top 25 dropped into the organization of the official CFP format.

Auburn 27, Georgia 24 Tennessee 26, Alabama 10 Florida 27, Texas 24

In the best possible way, the SEC is now an absolute disaster. Georgia stood as the last unbeaten team in the conference, also holding the No. 1 national ranking. But after Florida stormed back to beat Texas and while Tennessee shut down Alabama, Auburn clipped UGA to break the league race wiiide open.

The streak is over. Long live the streak. Indiana had ripped off 22 straight wins, and the Hoosiers were literal inches from likely extending the streak. Nick Marsh, though, ever-so-narrowly lost track of his place on the field and just missed a toe-tapping touchdown. Ohio State must survive the next few weeks (at least) without quarterback Julian Sayin , but the Buckeyes landed a crucial Big Ten victory.

Yes, the game ended in slight controversy—a pass interference could've been flagged, and there was certainly one second left on the clock. Still, it's not like BYU didn't deserve the victory. The program is now ranked No. 2 in the country, its highest spot since the 1984 team's perfect year.

1. Miami 2. BYU 3. Ohio State 4. Georgia 5. Indiana 6. Utah 7. Notre Dame 8. Texas Tech 9. Ole Miss 10. UCLA 11. Tennessee 12. USC 13. Alabama 14. Kentucky 15. Iowa 16. Houston 17. LSU 18. Wake Forest 19. Florida 20. Arizona 21. Boise State 22. SMU 23. James Madison 24. Northwestern 25. Auburn

Seeding is a reflection of how B/R's Top 25 would shape the bracket.

Power 4 Champions and Top Group of 6 Team

Thanks to a 17-7 win over Wisconsin on Saturday, UCLA improved to 6-0. First-year coach Bob Chesney has engineered a remarkable turnaround for the Bruins, who hadn't attained bowl eligibility in the last two seasons.

Tennessee has been competitive lately, but expectations were a bit lower entering the 2026 campaign due to inexperience at QB. The position is still unsettled, yet the Vols leaned on their rushing attack—DeSean Bishop had 159 yards with two scores—and a stout defense to take down rival Alabama and jump to 6-1.

Look, the potential QB issues at both programs are tough to overlook. I, personally, am not sold on UCLA or UT as legit contenders in December.

But right now, we cannot possibly ignore the Bruins and Vols.

Auburn stuck with Florida and hung around at Tennessee, so a competitive clash with Georgia was no surprise. Winning, though? On the road? That was a statement LSU, obviously, will not ignore. The loser of this matchup will have three SEC losses and essentially be eliminated from the conference race.

As of this writing, we haven't heard if Texas will make a QB change. Arch Manning's time as the starter is running thin —and that's saying it kindly. No matter who's under center, a third loss for the Horns would be devastating to their fleeting CFP dreams.

The most impactful game of Week 8 is also the last kickoff for Saturday's slate. Houston sports a 6-1 record, and this'll probably be the final ranked opponent on the Cougars' schedule this season. Utah, however, is unbeaten at 6-0 and could add a first Top 25 victory to its résumé.
