The Red Wings 40-goal club members were in the news this week.

Anton Johansson's place on Detroit's defense seems permanent.

Interim GM Shawn Horcoff has started to put out the fires one at a time.

Detroit prospect Adam Levac (108th, 2026) may have caught a break for the four-game Ontario Hockey League suspension he received for match-penalty for a match penalty (deliberate intent to injury). The speculation had Levac facing the possibility of a longer suspension for his crosscheck from behind against Mason Walker of the Sudbury Wolves. Levac sent Walker into the boards after he scored Sudbury's last goal in a 7-3 win. Last season, Levac received an eight-game suspension for slew-footing a player during a fight. Levac has eight points in eight games this season for Peterborough this season.
