Arsenal transfer news: Dortmund agree to sign Ethan Nwaneri on loan
German club Borussia Dortmund agree a deal with Arsenal to sign Ethan Nwaneri on a season-long loan.
Borussia Dortmund have agreed a deal with Arsenal to sign Ethan Nwaneri on a season-long loan.
The German club are set to sign the forward, 19, after losing new signing Giannis Konstantelias to a significant knee injury sustained during Saturday's 2-0 win over Hamburg.
Nwaneri - who Dortmund tried to sign last summer - is now expected to arrive in Germany for a medical and to complete the move before the Bundesliga transfer deadline at 19:00 BST.
BBC Sport revealed earlier this month that Arsenal would prioritise loan offers for Nwaneri, who they do not want to sell.
The academy graduate has attracted interest from clubs across the Premier League and Europe during this summer's window.
With manager Mikel Arteta having an abundance of attacking talent, Nwaneri would probably have had limited opportunities at Arsenal this season, and there is a sense at Emirates Stadium he would benefit from increased game time elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Gunners midfielder Fabio Vieira has joined Hamburg on a permanent transfe r after spending last term on loan with the Bundesliga side.
The 26-year-old joined Arsenal in 2022 for £34.2m from Porto and made 49 appearances for the club.
