Dylan Raiola, Jayden Maiava Box Score Stats, Highlights from Oregon vs. USC After Dante Moore Injury

The Oregon Ducks are officially back on track.

Dylan Raiola looked confident under center in place of an injured Dante Moore as the Ducks defeated the USC Trojans 41-27 on the road Saturday.

Heading into Los Angeles, Oregon was a slim 3.5-point favorite over USC and head coach Lincoln Riley, according to FanDuel Sportsbook .

Moore's injury in the second quarter shifted the energy of the game after the senior quarterback took a hard hit on a targeting call while sliding after picking up a first down.

The targeting call sparked chaos as both teams flooded the field and had to be separated, with Oregon taking offense to USC's Desman Stephens II for the late hit and the celebrations that followed while Moore laid motionless on the field.

Raiola stepped in for Moore and led the Ducks to the win in his first non-blowout minutes at Oregon after spending his freshman and sophomore seasons with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

In a back-and-forth battle, USC found the end zone first on a 31-yard connection from Maiava to Kayden Dixon-Wyatt.

On the drive Moore began before suffering his injury, Raiola finished it with Oregon's first touchdown of the evening, connecting with Evan Stewart on a short pass before holding up the No. 5 in honor of the starting quarterback.

Both teams added field goals to close out the first half, with Oregon taking a 13-10 lead into the break.

Coming out of halftime, Oregon added two quick touchdowns, totaling just under six minutes of game time, as sophomore running back Dierre Hill Jr. accounted for 12 points for the Ducks.

USC sandwiched a touchdown between Oregon's scores, with Maiava running one in himself before adding a field goal to cut the deficit to 27-20 heading into the final quarter.

Maiava found Tanook Hines for 11 yards to open the fourth-quarter scoring before Oregon went on a fourth-quarter tear.

Raiola found Dakorien Moore for a clutch 29-yard reception just four minutes later. The Ducks defense followed with a big fourth-down stop before the offense converted on a fourth-down opportunity of their own, with Jordon Davison turning it into six points to take a 41-27 lead with just over two minutes remaining.

A lackluster two-minute drill from USC sealed the deal for the Ducks, who walked away with a meaningful road win.

Oregon will take on the other half of Los Angeles, traveling to face the UCLA Bruins after a bye week Oct. 10, while USC will host the Washington Huskies next Saturday.
