Final score: Chiefs defeat Colts 33-30 on 'Sunday Night Football'

The Kansas City Chiefs saw their regular-season record advance to 2-0 after they earned a thrilling 33-30 win over the Indianapolis Colts on 'Sunday Night Football' in Week 2.

Star running back Kenneth Walker III led the way for Kansas City 's offense with 117 rushing yards on 24 attempts and 61 receiving yards on four receptions — the last of which helped seal the victory for the Chiefs in overtime.

Patrick Mahomes put up elite numbers in Week 2, completing 32 of his 47 passes for 382 yards and three touchdowns. The two-time MVP was also Kansas City's second-leading rusher behind Walker with 17 yards gained on two carries.

Legendary tight end Travis Kelce , speedy wide receiver Xavier Worthy , and promising wideout Jalen Royals each caught touchdown passes from Mahomes.

Defensively, the Chiefs relied on standout performances from their linebacking corps against Indianapolis' impressive ground attack. Star backers Nick Bolton and Drue Tranquill tallied 13 and eight combined tackles, respectively. Veteran defensive back Kristian Fulton came down with a game-changing interception in the first quarter and logged two combined tackles.

With back-to-back wins over equine-branded franchises under their belts, the Chiefs will look ahead to their Week 3 matchup against the 0-2 Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium on September 27.
