‘We learned a lot’ – Hansi Flick talks Barcelona’s Champions League defeat to PSG
The boss felt the hosts were the better team.
Barcelona boss Hansi Flick says his team can learn a lot from their 4-2 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
The loss is Barcelona's first of the season after a quite brilliant start to the campaign. Flick says it was a great game but that the Champions League holders "are a better team" right now.
"It was a fantastic match. In the end, PSG showed that they are a better team than us. We lost this match, but we learned a lot from it," he said. "They have a lot of quality in transition. We tried to defend against them, we did it well, but in those last fifteen minutes we weren't fresh. It's not an excuse. It wasn't the best preparation for this match, but now we have to analyze it. We need to do better things in the future, but today we did some things very well."

Flick also had praise for Xavi Espart after he scored his first Champions League goal during the match but was unable to offer an update on Dani Olmo's injury .
"We'll see with Olmo. He took the hit and then felt a bit uncomfortable afterward. We have to wait," he added. "Xavi Espart played a fantastic game. He scored the goal and the level he plays at is incredible."
