The College Football Playoff committee will now be considering a team's strength of conference as one more data point used to pick teams for the college football playoff. It's an interesting metric that Notre Dame will have to pay attention to, even if it doesn't apply to the Irish.

It's unclear how this metric would be applied, if at all, to an independent team like the Fighting Irish .
