Xabi Alonso's side are bidding to end a two-match winless run in the league after drawing with Hull last weekend following a loss at Arsenal .

The two fixtures between the sides last season saw Brentford and Chelsea play out a 2-2 draw at the Gtech before Chelsea won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in January.

There is a softness about them which was exposed by Hull City, who scored from a corner when Emi Martinez failed to deal cleanly with a delivery.
