LSU v Texas A&M score, live updates as Lane Kiffin, LSU look to get back on track

LSU football' s first road trip of the 2026 season – head coach Lane Kiffin 's highly-anticipated return to Oxford, Mississippi – contained a bitter ending as it fell to Ole Miss , 32-24, last Saturday night.

The No. 10-ranked Tigers (2-1, 0-1 SEC) rallied back from 17 points down to tie the game in the fourth quarter before Rebels quarterback Trinidad Chambliss scored the game-sealing touchdown.

Kiffin and LSU now come back home to Tiger Stadium where inside they'll face another rival. No. 20 Texas A&M (2-1, 0-1) comes calling the Tigers Saturday, Sept. 26 (6:30 p.m. CT, ABC). And just like the Tigers, the Aggies enter this weekend's contest off a loss.

Kentucky dispatched of A&M pretty convincingly on the road, 31-21, last Saturday. Both teams are looking to avoid an early-season second loss, one that would seriously put their respective College Football Playoffs hopes in doubt.

Both LSU and Texas A&M limp into this season's matchup, following a loss, so the ramifications of this game have been ratcheted up even more. This game will come down to mistakes. The team that makes the least amount of errors will come out on top. The last two years, Aggies QB Marcel Reed has been a living, breathing nightmare for the Tigers defense.
