ESPN ranks USC's Trent Mosley as top ten freshman in college football
It has not taken long for the freshman wide receiver to make an impact for the Trojans
It has not taken very long for USC's freshman class to make an impact on the field. The Trojans ' young talent is a huge part of the reason that they control their destiny in the College Football Playoff race entering the month of November.
In a recent story , Billy Tucker of ESPN ranked the top 40 freshmen in college football. Coming in at No. 9 on the list was USC wide receiver Trent Mosley.
"A 2026 four-star out of Santa Margarita Catholic High School in California, Mosley opened his college career with back-to-back 100-yard games before suffering a knee injury against Louisiana that cost him the next three games," Tucker wrote. "Even so, his 512 yards led all USC receivers through nine games, thanks in large part to a pair of 100-yard games against Penn State and Ohio State upon his return. Mosley showed his big-play ability against the Buckeyes , taking a screen pass 69 yards on the second play from scrimmage for a touchdown, giving the Trojans a lead they never relinquished against then-No. 2 Ohio State."
Mosley and the Trojans are off this week. They will be back in action next week for a massive road test at Indiana.
