Rodinei is Santos Futebol Clube's newest signing! With a successful career in Brazil and Europe, the right-back, who had been playing for Olympiacos in Greece, has signed a contract with Peixe until the end of 2027.
"It is a great joy to be able to wear the shirt of a huge club like Santos FC. I'm arriving highly motivated and fully aware of the responsibility that comes with wearing this shirt. I hope to deliver on the pitch and, together with my teammates, bring the fans lots of joy, because I know they deserve to smile," said Santos's new signing.
Born in Tatuí, in the interior of São Paulo state, Rodinei took his first steps in professional football with Avaí. Early in his career, he also played for Corinthians, Marcílio Dias, CRAC and Penapolense before joining Ponte Preta in 2013. At the Campinas-based club, the right-back began drawing attention for his speed, physical strength and ability to support the attack.
Those strong performances earned Rodinei a move to Flamengo in 2016. At the Rio club, he enjoyed the most successful spell of his career. In six seasons, he won two Campeonato Carioca titles, one Brazilian Championship, two Conmebol Libertadores titles and one Copa do Brasil. He also spent a period on loan at Internacional.
At the end of 2022, Rodinei began a new chapter in his career by moving to Olympiacos. He quickly established himself as one of the team's main options and won four titles, highlighted by the UEFA Conference League in the 2023/24 season, the first continental trophy in the Greek club's history.
In addition, the right-back won the Greek League (2024/25), the Greek Cup (2024/25), the Greek Super Cup (2025), and was named to the league's Team of the Season twice (2023 and 2024). He ended his spell as the second Brazilian with the most appearances in Olympiacos history, taking the field 157 times, behind only Santos idol Giovanni, who made 169 appearances.
With speed, physical strength and a constant presence in attack, the full-back now returns to Brazilian football to wear the Sacred Shirt of Santos FC. Welcome, Rodinei!
