Digital transformation has expanded football clubs' scope of activity far beyond the four lines of the pitch. Initiatives related to the fan experience and relationship programs through the Club's digital platforms have come to require not only investment in technology, but also increasing attention to regulatory and governance aspects.
In recent years, Atlético has carried out a series of projects that reflect this evolution. From expanding digital services for the Massa Atleticana to initiatives linked to the Galo Museum and the Atlético Memory Center, the Club has been structuring processes so that these actions are developed in line with legal requirements and management best practices.
This work has gained even greater relevance in light of the regulatory changes affecting the sports sector. The entry into force of the General Sports Law (Law No. 14,597/2023), the consolidation of the General Personal Data Protection Law – LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018), and the progress of discussions related to the protection of children and adolescents in the digital environment have increased the need for sports organizations to monitor these issues on an ongoing basis.
In this context, Atlético has been improving its internal workflows so that issues related to data protection, risk management, and compliance are taken into account from the early planning stages of new projects.
This work is supported by specialized regulatory analysis focused on identifying the impacts that new laws, regulations, and interpretations by oversight bodies/entities may have on the Club's initiatives. The goal is to translate regulatory changes into practical guidelines for decision-making, allowing strategic projects to be developed with greater legal certainty, predictability, and alignment with governance best practices.
All of this work is backed by the technical support of the specialized consultancy of Pironti+Moura Advogados Associados, which assists the Club in analyzing new regulatory frameworks and building governance mechanisms aimed at ensuring the legal security of the initiatives under development.
More than simply meeting legal requirements, the goal is to ensure that innovation moves forward in an integrated manner with risk management and compliance, allowing Galo to continue developing projects focused on the experience of the Massa and the modernization of its operations.
By continuously strengthening its governance structure, the Club reinforces its commitment to responsible management, prepared to keep pace with the transformations in football and the challenges of an increasingly digital environment.
