Milutin Osmajic: Montenegro forward leaves Preston North End for Genoa

Milutin Osmajic has left Preston North End to sign for Italian club Genoa.

Osmajic, 27, has joined the Serie A outfit for an undisclosed fee after three seasons with North End.

The Montenegro forward played 111 games for Preston and scored 31 goals, but his time in England was dogged by controversy.

In October 2024, he was handed an eight-game ban after being found guilty of biting Blackburn Rovers defender Owen Beck.

Four months later, he was accused of racially abusing Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri during a match and was eventually charged and given a nine-match ban last November.

Then in only his fourth Championship game back after his ban, he was sent off for violent conduct with North End trailing 3-0 at home to Hull City.

Osmajic played in Preston's opening day loss at Bolton Wanderers but was not involved at all in the home defeat by Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
