Manchester City captain Ruben Dias insists the team will be motivated by the "noise" and hostility surrounding the club.
City's players have been caught up in a storm after the club were found guilty of multiple breaches of the Premier League's financial regulations.
They weathered a hostile atmosphere to beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday in their first match since the verdict and Dias said ahead of Wednesday's big Champions League match against title holders Paris Saint-Germain he is certain the focus will remain on the football.
The Portugal defender said: "I feel like when you build yourself as a player, you build yourself against any kind of noise.
"Personally, and I really feel like I speak for the whole group, we're very calm. We trust the club, we're very calm and we're very focused on enjoying football.
"We know the team we've got, we want to make the most out of it. We want to win and that's the only thing in our minds.
"If there's more or less noise, or whatever the reason for the noise is, at the end of the day, it's all the same. People don't love us winning and we love to win."
City have been criticised for the way in which they celebrated after the final whistle at the weekend.
The players and manager Enzo Maresca have been accused of arrogance and lacking humility given the seriousness of the judgement against the club.
Maresca has insisted the players have nothing to apologise for, however, and Dias also feels their reaction was justified after victory in a difficult game.
He said: "I very much stand by the manager's words.
"It's a win at Anfield. In whatever circumstance, be it now earlier in the season, or be it later in the season, any time, I will - and when I say I, I think we - will enjoy it just as much and we will celebrate, however it feels in the moment.
"It will obviously be a show of how much it means to us.
"We all know that it's not easy for us in recent years to get those three points at Anfield. We're here for the points, we're here to win, to win competitions."
