Darian Mensah, Malachi Toney Impress, Final Box Score Stats, Highlights, Draft Stock from Miami Win

Darian Mensah could not have asked for a better start to his Miami Hurricanes career.

The transfer from Duke lit up the Stanford Cardinal secondary on Friday night for 400 yards and five touchdowns as the Hurricanes went on to win 45-6.

Star wide receiver Malachi Toney also had himself a record-setting night with 233 yards and three scores.

Mensah threw for 253 first-half yards and had Miami out to a 22-point lead at halftime. He had three passing touchdowns in the first half for the ACC preseason favorite.

Mensah made the most of his new partner-in-crime in the passing game, Miami's star sophomore and Heisman Trophy contender Malachi Toney.

Mensah's early success garnered plenty of early 2027 NFL draft attention.

Mensah continued his domination through the air with a 34-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Barkate to kick off the second half.

Mensah finished off the night with yet another touchdown pass to Toney to extend the advantage to 42-6.

Toney's 229 yards broke Eddie Brown's Miami record for the most receiving yards in a game. Brown recorded 220 yards in 1984.

Mensah and Miami should roll to victories in most of their games this season. The only ranked matchup is with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on November 7.

Next up for Miami is a home clash with the Florida A&M Rattlers on Thursday.
