Updated Caleb Williams Fantasy Outlook 2026: Bears QB Looks to Take Chicago to the Promise Land

Caleb Williams enters the 2026 fantasy football season primed for another step forward, with all signs pointing toward a monster campaign as he fully masters this Ben Johnson offensive scheme. Last year, he nearly became the first quarterback in Bears history to throw for 4,000 yards, and we already know what he offers on the ground after he ran for nearly 500 yards as a rookie.

Should I Draft Caleb Williams in Fantasy Football?

When evaluating the ceiling of Williams, he simply has as many levers as anyone to pull when it comes to piling up fantasy points in a hurry. Including the postseason, he ended last year by logging seven straight multi-pass TD games. Furthermore, he recorded nine games last season with a 10+ yard rush, establishing a highly reliable dual-threat baseline.

His supporting cast is loaded with high-end talent. Rome Odunze and Colston Loveland are incredibly strong playmakers, as is Luther Burden. If Burden can quickly shake his current groin injury, we could realistically be looking at the most dynamic trio of pass catchers in the league paired with a plus-athlete under center.

Defensively, I'm not sold on this Bears unit at all, and that vulnerability could easily result in plenty of favorable, pass-heavy, trailing scripts.

Perhaps the most encouraging part of his fantasy profile is the obvious room for growth. Williams completed just 58.1% of his passes last season and was still a highly valuable weekly asset. That accuracy doesn't even have to become a strength for him to challenge the second tier of fantasy QBs.

If he can simply approach league-average efficiency metrics to pair with his rushing ability, there's a world where Williams is the highest-scoring quarterback not named Josh Allen in 2026. Draft him confidently as a high-end starter.

The juice is worth the squeeze here and this is going to be a name I'm circling with regularity in the DFS streets. We saw proof of concept a season ago and we've seen this story before where a Johnson led offense evolves with time and becomes elite.

Everyone knows what the Bears did last season and yet, I still think there is a chance to hop on this bandwagon before it truly takes off!
