Indiana QB Josh Hoover finishes out touchdown drive vs. North Texas with bloody nose

Indiana's new first-string quarterback is putting his sweat and his blood on the field. In his first game since transferring from TCU , Josh Hoover powered through a bloody nose to score Indiana's third touchdown in a dominant showing against North Texas.

Hoover sustained the injury in the second quarter after being subjected to an egregious face mask foul, with his helmet getting pulled almost all the way around his head. In the process, the top of Hoover's nose got split, resulting in blood rushing down the quarterback's face.

Hoover, though, didn't stop playing on the drive, even as the blood dripped into his chinstrap and onto his white pants.

By staying in, though, Hoover was able to find Charlie Becker in the end zone to grow Indiana's lead.

Hoover then returned on the next drive with a bandage over his nose, seemingly cleaned up from the bloody outing. Indiana then scored a field goal on that drive to grow the lead to 24-6 before halftime.

Hoover, who was one of the highest-profile transfers this offseason, has been delivering early on as the defending champions get their season underway. The quarterback ended the first half with two touchdowns and just one incompletion, going 7-of-8 for 100 yards.
