College Football fans are eagerly anticipating one of the most highly anticipated games in recent SEC history. Lane Kiffin is set to make his return to Ole Miss as he brings LSU into Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to take on the Rebels.

Both teams enter the matchup with spotless 2-0 records, and now the long-awaited Week 3 showdown has arrived. Before the highly anticipated game, Ole Miss legend Eli Manning grabbed the fans' attention after starring in a hype video released by the program.

CFB Fans Not Sold on Eli Manning's Narration of Ole Miss Hype Video

The Rebels have a long-standing tradition of producing elite quarterbacks, and Eli Manning undoubtedly remains one of the most recognizable names in the program's history.

Ahead of the exciting LSU vs. Ole Miss showdown, the program shared a video on X, with Manning providing the dramatic narration.

"This game needs no introduction," Manning said in the video. "Generations of bad blood tell the story. It flowed through the river for over a century, fueled with passion, and guaranteed to give you goosebumps.

"This moment is what we prepare for on Saturday night; the center of the college football world is in Oxford, Mississippi. It's Ole Miss versus LSU."

Manning's dramatic, goosebumps-inducing narration quickly put the Ole Miss legend in the spotlight, but fans didn't hesitate to flood the comments section with jokes and criticism directed at the NFL legend.

"Maybe they can do something Eli couldn't," a fan reacted .

Manning finished his illustrious Ole Miss career with a then-school-record 10,119 career passing yards and 81 career touchdown passes. He also established Ole Miss career records for completions and passing attempts, with both figures ranking fourth on the SEC's career lists.

During his Ole Miss career, Manning won the Maxwell Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award while also earning several All-America honors.

Despite his impressive accomplishments at Ole Miss, the Rebels legend was unable to establish a dominant record against LSU during his college career. Manning finished 1-2 in three career games against the Tigers.

However, for now, CFB fans are focused on the upcoming LSU vs. Ole Miss showdown because of Kiffin's return to Oxford.

Kiffin guided Ole Miss to an 11-1 record in 2025 before leaving the program for LSU just before the College Football Playoff.
