BVB and fans united: 50+1 is non-negotiable!

The 50+1 rule has been a central pillar of German professional football since its introduction in 1998. In line with a member-led club culture and sustainable business models, it forms the basis of a unique characteristic that sets the Bundesliga apart significantly in international comparison.

Borussia Dortmund and its fans clearly stand by the 50+1 rule and its long-term preservation. We therefore expressly welcome the Bundeskartellamt's fundamental assessment.

We are convinced that the long-term success of German football can be ensured in this way. That is also why BVB firmly embedded this principle in its statutes and code of fundamental values many years ago.
