CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detroit Lions cornerback D.J. Reed, who entered the day listed as questionable with a rib injury, is active for the team's game versus the Carolina Panthers on Sunday Night Football.
Expect Reed to start on the outside. Across from him, options include Roger McCreary, Ennis Rakestraw Jr. and Rock Ya-Sin. It'll be Chuck Clark and Christian Izien at safety. When the Lions deploy nickel packages, McCreary is likely to move into the slot.
The Panthers, meanwhile, will be without Jalen Coker (quad), their leading receiver this season. He has 222 yards and a couple touchdowns on 18 receptions.
