The biggest winner of a Saturday rivalry matchup in Oxford might not be either LSU or Ole Miss.

A fan won $1 million by kicking a barefoot field goal on ESPN's College GameDay ahead of Saturday's 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

The kicker was identified by the Mississippi Clarion Ledger 's Sam Sklar as Ole Miss freshman James Whitehead, who said on the broadcast he is a former soccer player who had never kicked a football.

This marks the second consecutive week in which a fan has won big after winning the field goal contest during ESPN's pregame show.

A freshman at Texas won $1.2 million, half of which he pledged to donate to charity, ahead of the Longhorns' comeback victory over Ohio State last Saturday.
