The dynasty-league portion of the fantasy football community is forever looking forward.

So, while they're awaiting the opening of the 2026 NFL season like everyone else, they're also thinking about a big picture that extends well beyond the upcoming campaign.

For long-term rebuilders, that might be their lone focus. But even win-right-now contenders should devote some roster space to long-term lottery tickets, because it's never a good thing to let the cupboard run dry.

To help get you prepped for this season but also stocked for the long haul, we're providing both dynasty and redraft rankings while spotlighting a few sleepers with clear dynasty-league appeal.

Douglas, a third-round rookie out of Texas Tech, already seems primed to play a major role in Miami's offense. There are targets available in this offense—which could often find itself playing from behind—and Douglas seems as likely as anyone to command them. He had a buzzy training camp, and if that gets him on the runway for a strong rookie season, he could be a dynasty asset for a while.

The now Mike McDaniel-led Chargers' offense feels like one you'll want exposure to, and Harris could be a sneaky-significant role in it. If nothing else, his blocking should keep him on the field, and that in turn should give him a chance to showcase his talents as a dynamic pass-catcher. He can dazzle both as a vertical field-spacer and a yards-after-catch creator.

Johnson looks better on film than he does on the workout circuit, which helps explain why he fell to this year's fifth round despite rushing for 1,451 yards and 12 touchdowns at Nebraska last season. The Chiefs clearly aren't complaining; they already cleared Johnson's path to playing time by waiving veteran Emari Demercado, and they could have passing-down duties ready for Johnson and maybe a lot more should Kenneth Walker III miss any time.
