A third of the NFL season is nearly in the books, and plenty of injuries along the way have undoubtedly shaken up fantasy managers' lineups. This is the time of the year that smart waiver-wire claims can be the difference between pulling ahead in your division or digging a hole that seems too big to climb out of.

This week's picks include a receiver who is continuing his positive trend of having more points each week than the previous one and a wideout who just returned from a Week 1 injury. In fact, all three of our selections this week are wideouts with major upside.

Week 6 stats: 4 rec, 107 rec yds, 1 rec TD, 20.7 pts

In last week's iteration of this round-up, we advised fantasy managers to grab Jaylin Noel off waivers after his 12.7-point day including five receptions for 41 yards and a receiving touchdown. It was his second double-digit outing in as many games.

Managers may have believed that Noel's fantasy value was touchdown-dependent, which would explain why he's still only rostered in 6% of leagues heading into Week 7.

However, Noel's 20-plus-point day on Sunday, his best game of the season, continues the pattern we're seeing: as offensive coordinator Nick Caley and head coach DeMeco Ryans give him opportunities, he's taking advantage of them, and thus earning more opportunities. His standout performance in the Texans' win over the Jaguars included hauling in a 50-yard pass.

Don't miss your chance to add him as a flex option moving forward.

Week 6 stats: 6 rec, 103 rec yds, 1 rec TD, 19.3 pts

Omar Cooper Jr. was returning from a four-game absence with an ankle injury in Week 6 against the Patriots, so it makes sense fantasy managers may have wanted to wait and see how he looked.

Well, there was certainly no snap count to worry about on Sunday, as Cooper led the Jets' wide receiver room in his return with a team-high six receptions on seven targets, more than 100 yards and a receiving touchdown to boot.

Given that Adonai Mitchell is sidelined with a finger injury, Cooper's upside is even more immediate. Managers should be sure to prioritize this claim ahead of Week 7.

Week 6 stats: 11 rec, 87 rec yds, 1 rec TD, 25.7 pts

"I love everything he's doing," Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy said about rookie wideout Germie Bernard Sunday, noting that the team has "put a lot on [Bernard's] plate." That was certainly the case in the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as Bernard saw a whopping 12 targets from Aaron Rodgers, bringing in 11 of them.

Bernard's 12 targets didn't lead the team—DK Metcalf did, with 15 targets—but Bernard was up there.

We know that when Rodgers trusts a receiver, he tends to look for him all game long, and there's reason to believe that's increasingly going to be the case with Bernard. "There comes a time when the confidence starts to match the potential," Rodgers said Sunday, noting that that time seems to have come for the rookie.
